All registered participants are eligible for scholarships! Dancers pick up a number during both check-ins on Friday evening and Saturday morning before their first class. Although optional, we encourage dancers to wear their number for a chance to be recognized by our Faculty; The PULSE Faculty choose to reward dancers who catch their eye in classes, whether it’s recognizing technique, drive, style or enthusiasm. This process not only permits more class time, but also allows a controlled, creative, casual atmosphere. For the best visibility, dancers should wear their scholarship number throughout the entire weekend so each faculty member can get the chance to see them during their class performance!

The PULSE awards over $30,000 in scholarships at each event. During last year’s regional tour, we were proud to give away over $1,000,000 in scholarships!

PULSE Convention Scholarship
Recipients are awarded free tuition to any one of our PULSE On Tour regional weekend workshops! This scholarship may be used in any one city on our 2012-2013 regional tour.

PULSE Protégé
Recipients are awarded free tuition to each PULSE regional weekend for an entire calendar year. Share the stage with our PULSE Faculty as an assistant in ALL of our PULSE cities. *Scholarship does not apply to summer events.

PULSE Partial Summer 2012
Recipients are awarded partial tuition to either one of our PULSE Summer workshops!

Broadway Dance Center Scholarship
5 free classes to BDC, our official dance studio, in the heart of New York City! Broadway Dance Center offers over 50 classes a day in all levels and styles.

Sponsor Scholarship
Recipients receive free tuition to any one of our PULSE On Tour weekend workshops! This scholarship may be redeemed at any one city on our 2012-2013 regional tour.

PULSE Intensive
This is an invitation to attend the intensive in NYC held during our PULSE Finale NYC event. Dancers will audition on their first day and be selected for a specific Intensive track, where they will train in a more intimate class setting with one OR MORE of our faculty members. Each Intensive will perform a piece in the Final Night Gala.

Teacher Workshop NYC 2012
Recipients are awarded free tuition to our Teacher Workshop in NYC during the summer of 2012.

Camp PULSE Scholarship
Recipients are awarded free tuition to any Camp PULSE 2011-2012 event.

Choreographer's Pick Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a group performance piece from our PULSE showcase. The selected routines are invited to re-perform for FREE at a PULSE summer 2012 event. Each dancer in the piece receives $100 off tuition to a PULSE Summer 2012 event.

PULSE Featured Choreographer
All dancers in a PULSE Featured Choreography piece receive full tuition scholarships to a PULSE regional convention on our 2012-2013 tour.

The PULSE Essay Scholarship

The PULSE offers scholarships to those dancers who would benefit from attending our event, but are in need of financial assistance.

If you or someone you know would love to attend The PULSE, but are unable to afford tuition costs, you have the opportunity to apply for a free PULSE tuition in the city of your choice. We will choose one student for each of our cities on the 2011-2012 tour.

Your application must be turned in at least 30 days prior to the event of your choice.

Please write a 1,000+ word essay describing why you are the perfect candidate for the award. Please indicate your special circumstances that creates financial need, long-term goals, volunteer or community involvement, educational or dance achievements, a look into your dance background and any additional comments. You must have two letters of recommendation. Please have at least one letter from your dance teacher or mentor.
